NOBODY GETS THERE ALONE

Nobody gets to success alone. You have seen the quote ‘behind every successful man there is a strong woman’. Or ‘behind every successful woman, there is a great man’.We all need someone’s support to succeed. Some people call them destiny helpers.

If you look at your life, you will find that to succeed and to be where you are, there have been people at strategic points in your life who have encouraged you, cheered you on and helped you. Some even made sacrifices and that is why you are where you are today. Some of these helpers found you. In other situations, you were drawn to them and so on.

Today we are living in a very strange time. In 2020 and 2021,  we were in confinement without meeting colleagues, friends and family physically for 8 months! The only way of meeting was online. Then for the first time, I ventured into the world of social media in 2020 which opened a whole new world for me. On social media I know many of you are like me, you have invested in coaches or mentors to help you navigate and succeed in the new normal because “nobody gets there alone!”

Today If you are hesitant with all the changing covid regulations.  You have not stepped out yet. You are thinking let me wait a little while longer for things to go back to normal. If that is your position, you are going to remain in your self imposed confinement and isolation for a long time! You also risk being left behind as life is moving on. We will never go back to that normal we are used to again! It will never come back again. It’s gone! and even this new normal is still being redefined every moment. So we need to be resilient and ready to pivot as the situations change.

Surround yourself with people who will make your dreams come true. Make good friendships because nobody gets there alone!  I know true friendships are a very rare commodity nowadays because most people only want to be friends with you for what they can get out of you. But you have to still take risks, there is no finding good friends without taking risks, just like there is no growth and success without taking risks.  At the same time be ready to pivot in your relationships by being ready to let go and move on if a relationship is not working. I heard someone say something profound recently ‘If a person is not close enough to kiss you they cannot be your Judas’. Meaning Judas can only be Judas if they are close enough to kiss you.  Simply put everybody who is a close friend is subject to yield to the wrong spirit and turn on you.

If you are struggling to get out and to adjust to the new changing situations just remember you cannot do this alone. Nobody gets there alone! Watch my video or podcast on Letting Go Part 2.
